Another trait of the people of the last days is that they have a form of godliness, but they deny its power. A form of godliness is an outward appearance of reverence for God. Denying its power describes religious activities that are spiritually empty. Their activities have nothing to do with a true relationship with God or with individual faith in Jesus Christ.

Why does the living God call men to do the work of the New Testament evangelist? It is this simple! He does not want anyone to die here and then live forever in the awful dreadful place called HELL! In Matt. 18:14 the Lord Jesus states:

Another trait of the people of the last days is that they are lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. Matthew Henry states: “When there are more pleasure seekers than true Christians, then the times are bad indeed. God is to be loved above all.

The great song says: “Oh for a thousand tongues to sing My great Redeemer’s praise, the glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His praise!” If this soul winner had a thousand tongues, I could not praise His Holy name enough!  Only He can do what He is doing through this powerful work of soul winning and all of the glory, honor, and praise goes to Him and to Him alone! “I am the Lord,

Another trait of the people of the last days is that they are haughty or high-minded: Blatantly and disdainfully proud; Puffed up; Conceited; Feelings of self-importance. It is a person who feels so educated, so scientific, so advanced, so high in position and authority, ability, and gifts that he feels completely self-sufficient. They feel no need for God.

The old African American pastor said: “You best be careful what you ask the Lord for; He just might give it to you!”  Our great God desperately wants us to plead with Him to move powerfully in, on, and through us! “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV).
