Life After Death (Part 2)

Life After Death. It’s Called Eternity. You will live forever in Heaven or Hell. Your choice! Heaven.  Rev. 21:1-8 tells us just how beautiful heaven is.  The streets are gold.  The gates are pearl.  The walls are made of jasper.  No artificial light is needed because the power of God and Jesus are so strong that they light up that beautiful city!  No night will be in heaven.  It is eternal day!  No sadness, sickness, or suffering will be in heaven.  No one will ever die.  Praise Jesus!  We will never have any more funerals in heaven.  We will have a new glorified body in heaven because we will be perfect!  In Luke 23:43 we read about Jesus dying on the CROSS for our sins.  The thief hanging beside Him asked Jesus to remember him in heaven.  Jesus told him that today he would be with Him in paradise! (Song:  I Can Only Imagine by Bart Mallard and Mercy Me – “I can only imagine what it will be like when I walk by Your side.  I can only imagine what my eyes will see when Your face is before me.  I can only imagine.  Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel?  Will I dance for You, Jesus, or in awe of You be still?  Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?  Will I sing ‘hallelujah;’ will I be able to speak at all?  I can only imagine…I can only imagine.  I can only imagine…when that day comes, and I find myself standing in the Son.  I can only imagine…when all I could do, is forever, forever worship You.  I can only imagine.”)  Only one class of people will be in heaven…People whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  Rev. 21:27 (NKJV) states: “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”  Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?  Only those who have repented of their sins and made Jesus their Lord and Savior by faith are written there!
