The devil spoke to me very clearly when I awoke on Monday morning, April 1. He said: “You are the biggest fool that I know!” April Fool’s Day is a good day for him to address this passionate soul winner! He paid me a great compliment! In 1 Cor. 4:9-13 the Apostle Paul states: “For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless, and we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.”
Last Sunday I was honored to be able to proclaim the glorious gospel at Beulah Baptist Church in Mohawk, TN in West Greene County. Pastor John Rogers recently retired as the pastor of this great church. My Lord had me to deliver the message A Strong Man Meets His Match (Judges 13). You could hear a pin drop on the carpet as I discussed Samson’s immoral lifestyle! No one came forward during the public invitation, but as everyone was leaving a young mother in her late 20’s came to speak with me and the chairman of deacons. She was broken and in tears as she told us that she needed to be baptized, but her husband is lost, and she will not get to attend regularly. We told her that her moving forward with her baptism will be used by her Lord to bring her husband to faith (1 Cor. 7:12-16)!
The First Priority Bible Club of McDonald School in Greene County hosted me on Wednesday, March 12. Teacher Miss Anastasia along with Shea Long from Beulah Baptist Church are the supporters of this Bible Club. They do an excellent job! My Lord had me to give each student a marked New Testament, which means the plan of salvation is highlighted. An outstanding Christian businessman has donated these to WSFJ Ministries, and our great God is using them to lead people to faith in the Lord Jesus! Glory Be! I had the 21 students in attendance to read the plan of salvation out loud with me! It was powerful! Then, I led them to pray the sinner’s prayer with me to ask the Lord Jesus to forgive their sins and be their Savior and Lord by faith! You could feel the power of the Holy Spirit moving on their hearts! Eleven students checked on their decision card that they had prayed to be Born Again! Then, Miss Anastasia, their teacher, gave follow-up materials to each student who made a decision! I have been going into schools for my Lord for 33 years, and this is the first time that I have ever seen a teacher personally give out follow-up materials! Praise the Lord!
As I have shared with you previously, the door into the Jefferson County Jail has closed until my Lord can reopen it! They have experienced staff changes, and they are currently not permitting volunteers to serve. Please pray with me that our Lord will reopen this door if it is His Holy will! Other than going into the public schools, our work in this facility over the past five years has borne the most immediate spiritual fruit (John 15)! A part of me died when they stopped me from going into that dark place!
A dear lady recently came to me in tears in public to tell me that she is blessed by the television broadcast! With tears running down her cheeks, she said: “If people would just watch and listen, their lives would be changed!” I was able to encourage her by telling her how her husband, who is now in Heaven, did business with our family over 25 years ago! Another man came to me in the same place to tell me that his 97-year-old mom watches the television broadcast! He was elated to tell her that he knows our family and that I am a local boy who grew up in Morristown!
For several years, our television broadcast, A Date with Destiny has been airing on the Christian Television Network in Knoxville. The station is WVLR. They are very pleased with our work for our Lord! The manager of that station has invited us to also be on their station in Chattanooga, WTNB. This is a huge open door from our Lord, and we praise His High and Holy Name! The broadcast will begin airing this coming Friday night, April 4, at 10pm! The coverage area is over 1,000,000 people! A faithful servant who goes into foreign countries with the gospel recently took 1,000 Spanish Born Again Flyers with him into a Spanish speaking nation! A dear faithful female soul winner who has been an integral part of this work for 20 years recently led a young lady to faith in the Lord Jesus at a store using the Born Again flyer!
As we are faithful, our Lord adds to His work according to His will for our lives! If He would allow me, I would immediately win every lost person in the world to Him! Unfortunately, that is not His plan because He has other soul winners who are also laboring for Him in the Harvest fields, but I so desperately desire to reach as many lost people for Him as He will permit me to reach with the life that I have left on this earth!
Thank you, with all my heart, for your unyielding prayer and financial support! I have not, nor will I ever take for granted the very few servants who stand with me as I do the great work of the New Testament evangelist! Only the living God could accomplish what has been accomplished through my life with all of the vicious attacks from Satan that I have endured for the past 41 years! He knows how to use “religious people in organized religion” to try to destroy effective faithful Spirit-filled soul winners! I appreciate and love you!
