Another trait of the people of the last days is they love money and what it buys and allows them to do. They covet (desire) more and more of it and the things it buys. Their eyes and hearts are focused on money instead of God. They indulge themselves and hoard instead of building God’s everlasting kingdom and assisting the needy and poor of this world. 1 Timothy 6:6-10 (NKJV) states: “Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we should be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” Repent of your greed today and become a great giver! Pastor Blevins said: “Do your givin’ while you’re livin’ so you’re knowin’ where it’s goin.” Do you fear God? Romans 3:18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” The people of the Last Days have no fear of God. Samuel told the children of Israel in 1 Samuel 12:14-15 “If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God. However, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord, but rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then the hand of the Lord will be against you, as it was against your fathers.”
