In Psalm 126:5-6 the Bible states: “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” A soul winner is a gospel seed farmer! In 1990 my Lord moved on His servant’s heart to host an area wide evangelistic event at a local high school. The principal came to our planning meetings, but he would walk out when we had prayer because he was under such strong conviction! Not long after the event, he gave his heart to Jesus, and he was baptized into the fellowship of a local church. After 33 years, he is still attending this same church! I gave him the framed print of the poem The Christian Coach that I had written to honor my coaches in 2009. The poem has been on a wall in his home for the past thirteen years until Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022. He took it off his wall and presented it to one of his former students who is now a successful high school football coach in Huntington, West Virginia! “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11 NKJV).
Pastor Jim Chatman hosted us on Sunday morning, Jan. 15 at the church he has pastored for the past 35 years, Calvary Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. He is a very balanced, loving, Spirit-filled and unique man of God! Pastor Jim knows who he is and whose he is! He is as outstanding a man as any that I have ever known! The people that he shepherds are very solid and mature believers. My Lord had me to deliver the message The Spiritual State of These United States. As I began the message my Lord led me to talk about the importance of leading children to faith in the Lord Jesus! A number of children, along with their parents, were in attendance and they listened very intently as I took them to the CROSS! This church has one of the most beautiful CROSSES that I have ever seen above their baptistry! It lights up the night sky each night! No one came forward during the public invitation, but children will be giving their little hearts to Jesus one day very soon!
Pastor John David Shanks of Beulah Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN hosted us on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023. What an anointed and Spirit-filled pastor this man is! His great God has His mighty hand upon him! He is uniquely gifted as a pastor in that he is a shepherd, a teacher, a prophet, a soul winner, and a disciple maker all rolled into one servant! You just do not see one man with all of these spiritual gifts who uses them with great humility and appreciation to his God! My Lord had His servant to deliver the message A Tale of Two Cities: Heaven and Hell. You could have heard a pin drop on the carpet as the Holy Spirit brought a Holy Hush in the place! A young man immediately came forward as the public invitation began to rededicate his life to his Lord! Pastor John David was just about to close the public invitation when he saw a dear lady standing to speak with him! She, too, came to rededicate her life to her Lord!
The power of the living God continues to move in an overwhelming manner in the Jefferson County Jail in Dandridge, TN! So many people are praying for the service each Thursday morning that our great God just literally sets down in this facility! Thank you! Please keep praying! These men are very broken and hurting as they greatly miss their families! I have them to lay their hands on their brothers’ shoulders and pray for them! One young man just sat there and cried the entire service! As he was leaving, he came to me and laid his head on my shoulder and wept as he hugged me so hard that I thought he would break me in two pieces! In this same service, the men began to confess their sins publicly in tears of brokenness (James 5:16)! I have been involved in the work of the Lord for my entire life and this is the first time that I have ever seen James 5:16 in action! These men were not only naming their sins, but they were also telling the consequences of their sins! In another service, one man, who was under strong conviction, stopped me during the message as he said: “I want you to pray for me right now that I will not go back to living like I once lived when I get out of here!” He named his sin publicly! I laid my hands on his shoulders and prayed for him! I ran out of time and one of the men said: “Please finish!” He wanted to hear the rest of the message on Heaven! Attendance is voluntary as well as their filling out a decision card! From the decision cards, we have seen 3 men who state they have been Born Again and 31 men who have recommitted their lives to their Lord over the past month! Can you imagine what would happen in the average church in America if the people would just respond to the convicting power of the Holy Spirit like these men are responding?
Lauren Collins, who films and edits and produces the television broadcast, has just finished new TV spots that are ready for airing! We started the TV spots in 2010. No ministry anywhere in the world was doing them at the time! YES, we were the first! How I praise my Lord for His vision! Only time and eternity will tell the real fruit that is being produced from the work that we are doing in the media!
By the great grace of my Lord, I will continue to go through every open door with the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit! I need your strong prayer and financial support now more than at any time in my service to my Lord! Pastor Charles Brewer of Lebanon Baptist Church in Talbott, TN will host us on Sunday, Feb. 19 for both the morning and evening services. The enemy has always fought God’s passionate soul winners and he will not stop now as we are in the Last Days before our Lord’s second coming! We must always be prepared and ready for battle (Eph. 6:10-20)! I love you!
