III. Look At Us
The U.S.A. has fallen off a moral precipice into an immoral abyss. We have greatly deviated from God’s design for sex within the confines of marriage. What happens when you deviate from God’s laws concerning sex?
(1) You sin against God and against your own body.
You give a part of yourself to other people which God has designed to give to the person you marry. (I Cor. 6:15 “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!” and I Cor. 19-20 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”) (Mention actions and dress of men and women). Don’t advertise yourself if you are not for sale. (I Tim. 2:9-10 “in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.” I Pet. 3:1-5 “Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands.”) You sin against God and against your own body. What happens when you deviate from God’s laws concerning sex? (1) You sin against God and against your own body.
(2) Unwanted pregnancies which lead to being parents before you are ready.
Men, if you are a big enough man to father a child, you need to be a big enough man to support the child. You are a coward when you convince a girl to have sex with you and then you leave her all alone to support your child. This problem is seemingly solved in American culture today by getting an abortion, the process of killing the baby before it is born. The Bible clearly teaches that life begins at the moment of conception. (Jer. 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Ps. 139:13-16 “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”) Every 37 seconds that the clock ticks, an unborn child is ripped from its mother’s womb and murdered through the process known as abortion. (Abortion total since 1973 – 63.46 million). Two wrongs don’t make a right. Unwanted pregnancies which lead to being parents before you are ready. (3) Diseases:
Gonorrhea, Syphilis and many others. Some sexually transmitted diseases such as herpes are incurable. AIDS. There is no such thing as safe sex. A piece of latex rubber will not protect you from disease and pregnancy. The government is lying to you. They’re picking your pocket. Diseases. What happens when you deviate from God’s laws concerning sex? (1) You sin against God and against your own body, (2) Unwanted pregnancies which lead to being parents before you are ready, (3) Diseases.
(4) Sexual perversion results from sexual promiscuity:
Fornication: I Thes. 4:3; Eph. 5:3
Adultery: Exodus 20:14
Prostitution: Deut. 23:17 (Using your body as a sex object to make money).
Incest: Lev. 18:6 (Lev. 6-18)
Homosexuality: Rom. 1:26-28; Lev. 18:22; Lev. 20:13
Bestiality: Lev. 18:23; Lev. 20:15,16; Deut. 27:21. AIDS came to America this way. (Sex with monkeys).

Sex:God’s Gift I. Look At God’s Design, II. Look At David, III. Look At Us. Paul tells us that people who are sexually immoral will not go to Heaven when they die. They will go to Hell. (Rev. 21:8 “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Rev. 20:15, Rev. 21:27). This is the bad news. The good news is that God will forgive sexual sin (I John 1:9).
