Someone once said: “The only constant in life is change.” The Psalmist states in Psalm 73:25-26 (NKJV) “Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”  Praise His Holy name! He never changes!  “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb.13:8).

The living God has called this servant to be a mass evangelist; to give a clear presentation of the gospel to spiritually lost humanity (1 Cor. 9:19-23).  On Tuesday morning, Aug. 16, my Lord spoke to my heart as He told me that over 3,000 people have been Born Again through the television broadcast since Jan.1! I saw a man in a restaurant whom I have known for over 25 years, and he said: “Jeff, thank you for posting on Facebook. It is great! Keep them coming!”  At the same time and place, I saw two ladies.  One of them went to high school with me. She thanked me for the social media posts as well as the television broadcast.  The other lady came to me as she was leaving the restaurant and she asked me if I am the Harvel who proclaims the gospel on television.  She thanked me for being faithful to proclaim the gospel as she told me that she could tell that this servant is real!   Proverbs 27:2 states: “Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.” Our great God has His own ways to affirm and encourage His faithful servants!  I am so very thankful that He does! The harshness of this work can defeat the greatest of saints! One encouraging word from one’s Lord through His people can give you hope to go on one more day!  All of the glory belongs to Him!  “I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to carved images” (Isaiah 42:8).

It was a great joy to be able to serve alongside Pastors Don Bible, John Rogers, and Larry Jones at the Back-to-School End of Summer Carnival held at the McDonald Mission Center in Mohawk, TN. Mrs. Angie Jones and her leadership team did an excellent job in preparing for the event!  Parents, grandparents, and guardians came with their children and young people to receive school supplies. My Lord had me to use the Evangecube to give a clear presentation of the gospel. The awesome power of the Holy Spirit moved on their hearts!  I wish that you could have seen them step forward on their own when I gave the public invitation! Ten precious boys and girls gave their heart to Jesus! The pastors and I sat down with them to assist them in being sure that they knew what they were doing.  Also, the pastors will be visiting in their homes as they speak to their families.  Each student who made a decision received a New Believer’s New Testament.  As one of the students was leaving with his family, he looked at his New Testament with a sense of wonder and said to me: “Thank you, Brother Jeff, I’m gonna take really good care of this Bible.”

Pastor Brian Wilson of First Baptist Church Whitesburg had me to share the glorious gospel there for their homecoming service on Aug. 14.  I have been blessed to serve alongside two different pastors here for over sixteen years.  Pastors Charles Brewer and Brian Wilson have been very faithful to shepherd this church as the devil has fought them maliciously!  Almighty God has honored their faithfulness as the church now has harmony, love, peace, and unity! Spiritual growth translates into numerical growth (2 Peter 3:18)!  In fact, I did not know most of the people in attendance on homecoming Sunday!  My Lord had His servant to deliver the message: “The Spiritual State of These United States.”  No one came forward during the public invitation, but after the service ended a dear lady came to me with tears in her eyes to let me know that she rededicated her life to her Lord!  The gospel still works when the Lord’s messengers are faithful to be His mouthpiece (Isaiah 55:10-11)!

I want to publicly affirm Pastors John Rogers of Beulah Baptist Church who is in his 22nd year, Don Bible of Bibles Chapel Baptist Church who is in his 41st year, and Pastor Larry Jones of Concord Baptist Church who is in his 31st year! These men shepherd churches in the same community in western Greene County, TN and they work together beautifully!  I have been and continue to be privileged to serve alongside these faithful Spirit-filled shepherds for over 21 years and we have witnessed several thousand children and young people and adults give their heart to the Lord Jesus! I so look forward to seeing our Lord honor them in Heaven (1 Peter 5:2-4)!

With all that is within me, thank you for standing with this soul winner! Next Sunday I will be privileged to proclaim the gospel at Lebanon Baptist Church in Talbott, TN where Charles Brewer is the pastor. JESUS could return any day and I want HIM to find this soul winner faithfully pleading with men, women, boys, and girls to give their heart to HIM before it is eternally too late!  I love you!

For Souls Forever In Heaven,

Jeffrey L. Harvel
