Our Lord has made His mandate very clear! “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age’” (Matt. 28:18-20 ESV). What a clear word from the living God of heaven and earth!
My Lord has called this servant to do just as He has instructed! This is my 29th year in the field of evangelism as I have entered my 64th year of life. If I had a thousand lifetimes to win spiritually lost people to my Lord, I would gladly relish the opportunity! Please join me in praying that untold millions will be born again before, during, and after my going to Heaven! I do not want to see anyone die and live forever in the place called Hell!
Last year my Lord opened the door for His servant to share the glorious gospel message in a place where men are incarcerated for the crimes that they have committed. He continues to move mightily on the hearts of these dear men, and I praise His Holy name! This past Monday was the most attended meeting yet! The room was packed with men who deeply wanted to hear from their Lord! I wish that you could see their countenance when the power of God touches their heart as they hear the Word of God. I sincerely let them know that I love them with every fiber of my being, and they can tell that I am not lying! They line up to come and hug me as they thank me for coming. One of the jailers told me that he hears these dear men discussing how their Lord is touching their hearts! He lovingly affirmed our work in that place of incarceration!
I give the inmates the opportunity to participate in the time of worship by giving their testimony, singing the great hymns of the faith, and publicly reading the Word of God. They do not have to come to the service or to participate in the service! It is their choice! I distribute new Bibles along with follow-up materials and witnessing materials. I also distribute decision cards for them to let me know of their decision that day along with a place for them to record their prayer requests. Just allow the sweet Holy Spirit to strengthen you as I share with you some of their statements about their decision! “Please pray for my family. They are the ones that suffer when I’m incarcerated.” “Submission to the Lord, receptive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.” “Pray that I get out in time to see my grandbaby be brought into this world.” “For our Lord to give me the assurance and peace of my salvation and pray for my lovely wife and beautiful son and all my loved ones and family.” “Thank you, Jeff, for helping me get assurance and get rid of doubt. Please pray for my struggle with addiction with drugs and my court case.” “I know now that my salvation cannot be taken away. I have recommitted.” “No doubt from today. Thank you, God.” “That you touch as many souls as you did mine today.” “I surrendered my whole heart and life to God today.” YES! This is where the Lord’s servants must be (Hebrews 13:3)!
For the past seven years, we have given a beautiful new Bible to the senior football players and trainers from Morristown Hamblen High School West in Morristown, TN. One of these precious young men was so touched by his gift that he came to our home to say thank you for standing with him and his teammates! He will be the first person in his family to go to college and to play college football! Pray for these young men and women to be all that they can be for their Lord (Eccles. 12:1)!
What a wonderful joy to officiate at the wedding of Lisa and Richard Reece. It was beautiful! Lisa’s great family has been an integral part of our lives for close to twenty years. They are the Lord’s people, and they want to see spiritually lost people saved! Please pray for Lisa and Richard as they embark on a new life together. They love their Lord!
I have been blessed to be able to share the gospel at my home church, Zion Grove Baptist Church in Sevierville, on a recent Sunday and Wednesday. The Word of God still works (Isaiah 55:11)! This coming Sunday morning I will be sharing the Word of the Lord at Bible’s Chapel Baptist Church in Midway, TN where Don Bible is the pastor. They are having Vacation Bible School this week and Pastor Don believes that his Lord would have this soul winner to deliver the concluding message. Please pray for boys and girls to be Born Again!
With all of my heart, thank you for your prayers and financial support! I do not want to enter Heaven without multitudes going with me! I love you!
