In Psalm 71:17-18 (NKJV) the Psalmist states: “O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works. Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.” All that I have to do is look in the mirror daily and I can clearly see that the aging process is rapidly progressing in my person! It is part and parcel of the human experience! I pray daily that my Lord will allow His servant to reach the spiritually lost multitudes with the life changing message of the gospel before I leave this earth! I do not want anyone to die and live forever in the place called Hell!
These are definitely perilous times, to say the least (2 Timothy 3:1)! I must not relent, no matter the cost! Three preaching assignments from my Lord have been recently cancelled due to COVID-19! How very thankful I am for the great vision that my Lord gave to His servant in 2009 to begin using the media to proclaim the glorious gospel message. We are on television Sunday through Friday and on the internet every day of the week. This is where the masses of people are residing in this culture! Only my Lord knows just how many of them are being born again! Praise His Holy name!
It was a great honor to be asked by several members of the Morristown West High School Trojan Nation in Morristown, TN to speak on behalf of Walter Coffey at his memorial service. Walt has been the official mascot for Morristown West High School since the school opened in 1968. Yes, I am old enough to remember when the school opened! For over 52 years, Walt has been on the sidelines for many sporting events. He even saw me play football from 1971-’75. I have spoken with him many times about his deep and abiding love for his Lord! My brother in Christ, Walt, was a very special servant of the Lord Jesus! Even though he had special needs, he allowed his Lord to use him mightily to show the world just how great his God is! Every time that I think of Walt, I am reminded of the Apostle Paul’s poignant words in 1 Cor. 1:26-31, “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.’” The next time that I see Walt he will not be crippled. He will have a handsome glorified body as he is rejoicing with his Lord in Heaven! I can’t wait! Praise the sweet name of the Lord Jesus!
Thank you for praying for this soul winner! I so desperately need your prayers that I will be placed Divinely, Sovereignly, and Strategically where my Lord needs me in these evil Last Days in which we are now living! I love you!
