Is America destroying herself? Has the living God of heaven and earth turned her over to her own lusts? Will she repent before her God allows her to destroy herself? “The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. The people He has chosen as His own inheritance” (Psalm 32:10-12 NKJV).
The only hope for this nation as well as for all the nations of this earth is JESUS! Why should we seek anyone else? Just last week a young teenage girl was baptized into the fellowship of a local church in this part of the world. Her grandmother, who lives in another state, had led her to faith in the Lord Jesus over the phone! The grandmother told me about her granddaughter’s conversion, and I took a New Believer’s New Testament to her home in another city. Her conversion can be traced back to around 2003 when her grandmother attended a soul winning clinic that I led in her home church in this area. She came under strong conviction during the soul winning clinic and was gloriously saved! Just one person telling one person about the life and love of the Lord Jesus will turn the spiritual pendulum in the right direction!
For the past five years, we have presented a beautiful new Bible to the graduating seniors from the Morristown West football team along with the trainers. I did not think that we would be able to do this due to the current situation, but our great God will always make a way in the wilderness! Praise His Holy name. They had graduation this past week and teacher, Amie, saw to it that they received their Bible! She even sent a picture to us of each player in attendance holding their beautiful new Bible! Praise the Lord for Christian teachers and coaches being salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16)!
Last Saturday morning Pastor Brian Wilson of First Baptist Church Whitesburg called me to say that he was not well, and he asked if I could “stand in” for him on Sunday morning. I had heard from the powerful Holy Spirit in the early morning hours and He had let me know that I would be receiving a call to speak for my Lord! I call this a “powerful Divine Appointment”! My Lord had me to speak for Him on the subject Why Would Anyone Want to Live Forever in The Place Called Hell? Everyone in attendance was “radared in” on me as the power of the living God literally met with us! In fact, during the day on Saturday and on into the night and on Sunday I was literally overwhelmed with my Lord’s presence and I just praise His Holy name! As soon as the public invitation began, two precious people came forward! An adolescent boy and a dear lady in her 30’s rededicated their lives to their Lord! People all over the facility were crying tears of joy, many of them wearing masks! Yes, the Lord still moves during a pandemic! These dear young people gave their testimony publicly and it literally “set the house on fire” for our Lord! After the service, people came and greeted them with the love of the Lord Jesus! What a beautiful scene! Glory!
On Sunday, August 30, Pastor Brian Wilson will host me for a week of revival services. Please pray for the power of God to move like a mighty rushing wind! Oh, how we need to be a part of another Pentecost (Acts 2)!
Pastor John Rogers of Beulah Baptist Church in Mohawk, TN will host me on Sunday morning August 16 for two services. What great joy that Pastor John and the dear people that he shepherds have brought into my life for the past 20 years as we have partnered in reaching the students in the public schools through the First Priority Bible Club ministry! Yes, we have seen hundreds of students give their hearts to Jesus! I pray that we will be able to partner together once again this coming school year.
On Sunday, August 2, a brand, new revised format will begin for the television broadcast A Date with Destiny. Lauren Collins is directing and producing for us, and she has done an excellent job for her Lord! I also appreciate Lakeshore Road Baptist Church for allowing us to use their beautiful and Christ honoring facility. This is the schedule for the broadcast:
