The Bible states in Psalm 115:3 (NKJV) “But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.” No matter what happens in this world, it always must go through the hands of the living God! He has taught me to just be faithful and obedient to all that He instructs me to do.
This afternoon one of my uncles called me and asked me to go see one of his high school classmates who is in hospice care. He did not know if he was ready to meet his Lord! Tonight, I visited this dear dying man and I had not been there very long until he began to cry. I had not even told him what I do, and he had not asked! The Holy Spirit had already prepared his heart. I called his name and asked him if he was ready to meet his Lord. He made it clear to me that he was ready, and so I asked him to tell me about his conversion and he told me. He then began to address the leading false teacher of our day! He blessed me more than I could have ever blessed him! He said: “Most people want to go to Heaven, they just do not want to die to get there.” This dear man will soon be in the very presence of the living God (2 Cor. 5:8)!
One of the greatest men that I have ever known, Bob McBride, went to be with his Lord last week. His family asked me and my dad to be pallbearers at his memorial. Bob and his wife, Margaret, have known me all my life and they have been outstanding Christian role models for me and my children! Bob was one of my early Sunday School teachers. He served with dad in different areas of service in our home church. I was privileged to be his assistant teacher in 1980. He and I visited together on church outreach. His children, Kathy and Jim were an integral part of the college ministry that I led from 1984-’92. Kathy taught our children, Collin and Katy, in the Bible drill. I praise my Lord for this great spiritual legacy (Psalm 112)!
As I was leaving the cemetery, two ladies from a church that I have assisted since 1997 stopped me to let me know that they had given a How To Be Born Again flyer to a dear lady who was witnessing to a 70 year old lady who was on her death bed and spiritually lost! This lady was gloriously saved! Yes, our great God can use a laminated piece of paper with the plan of salvation written on it!
A local funeral home director stopped me last week to tell me that he watches the television broadcast every Sunday. Everywhere that I go I see people who tell me that they are blessed by the weekly television broadcast and I give to my Lord all of the glory, honor, and praise!

What great joy to be able to proclaim the gospel via the media when churches are closed! The devil just thinks that he can stop the work of the Lord! Never (Isaiah 55:11)!
With all my heart, thank you for standing with this servant of the Lord in these evil Last Days in which we are now living! I continue to be taken aback as I personally see the protecting and providing hand of the living God! Praise His Holy name! In Psalm 37:25 (NKJV) God’s great servant, David, states: “I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.”
