March 2020 WSFJ Newsletter

Is Jesus about to return?  You tell me!  He states: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Matt. 24:36, 44 KJV).  Ever since the tornadoes hit middle TN, I have experienced a very “eerie feeling” in my spirit.  The living God is definitely speaking to this nation as well as to the nations of the world!  He is not pleased with unborn babies being murdered and sexual perversion being promoted as healthy and normal!

A young mother came to me after the church service had ended at my home church, Zion Grove Baptist Church, in Sevierville, TN. I had just delivered the message: Let the Past Be Passed(Phil. 3:13-14).  She was under strong conviction from the Holy Spirit!  Her husband had been led to the Lord by our pastor, Royce Bailey, the previous Sunday. Whenever I give a public invitation, I always include surrendering to the Lord’s call on your life. She shared with me that her Lord had been speaking to her for quite some time about surrendering to the music ministry. On this Sunday, she did just that! Glory!  Since that Sunday morning, doors have opened for her to sing! Yes, Pastor Royce Bailey baptized her husband the very next Sunday!  She said: “I have a new husband” (2 Cor. 5:17)!

Two weeks ago, twelve evangelists from across the state of TN gathered in the Tri-Cities for a conference and One Day Revivals.  This series of meetings was organized by Toonie Cash who has lived in this area his entire life and has served his Lord in the field of evangelism for close to 50 years! The pastors and laity who served alongside us had literally bathed the conference in prayer and you could tell it from the very first service!  For me, personally, my transformed soul was wonderfully refreshed! Whew!  I sure needed to hear anointed and Spirit-filled evangelists proclaim the glorious gospel message!

I was blessed to serve with Pastor John David Shanks at Beulah Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN. This dear servant loves his Lord with all that is within him (Deut. 6:5)!  My Lord had me to deliver the message that He gave to Pastor David Stooksbury in 2009, Three Things in Hell That should Be Found in Every Church: Tears, Prayers, and A Concern for The Lost (Luke 16:19-31).  As soon as I gave the public invitation, the people began to come to the altar! You could feel the power of the mighty Holy Spirit literally sweeping through the worship center!  Numerous people rededicated their lives to their Lord while one dear lady surrendered to her Lord’s call on her life. Two ladies came for baptism and last Sunday Pastor Shanks baptized both of them!  On the very last verse of the invitation hymn, I asked the people to come and pray for their lost family, friends, and co-workers.  It was like they had literally been “pulled by a powerful vacuum” out of their seats to come to the altar to pray! The altar was jam-packed with people who were praying!   I looked over at Pastor Shanks and he was literally weeping so hard that he was shaking!  I have never seen a pastor weep like he was weeping!  Yes, it deeply touched my heart!  Praise the sweet name of the Lord Jesus!  He and I are making plans to do a soul-winning clinic there in the very near future.

Last Sunday I was so blessed to be able to proclaim the gospel at Lakeshore Road Baptist Church in Talbott, TN.  I have been here many times over the past fifteen years. Their interim pastor, Dr. David Crutchley, was self-quarantined from a trip to Africa. Many churches had already closed their doors, but the chairman of deacons, Edgar Gray, had heard from his God! We had church!  People from other churches came to worship with us as our great God met with us in a powerful way! You could feel the powerful Holy Spirit literally sweep through the congregation! Susan Haas and Tyler led us in a wonderful time of praise and worship! My Lord had me to speak for Him as He always does with the message titled: Five Indicators of A Wicked and Evil Heart by Leslie Vernick (Jeremiah 17:9,10). It was a real joy to watch people who have never heard me before taking notes and listen intently!

Yes, we are living in very perilous times, but our great God is still in control! We must always do all that we can while we can to win as many lost people as we can to Jesus before His return!  Thank you for praying and for giving as you are able. The next time that I see you could very well be in Heaven!  I love you!

For Souls Forever In Heaven,

Jeffrey L. Harvel
