THE DEED OF JEALOUSY (PART 4)

God had His strong hand on Joseph.  He was full of the Spirit of God in a day when God only moved on certain individuals.  He was seventeen years old, and he had two dreams where God showed him that his father and brothers would bow down to him. Joseph made the terrible mistake of telling them! Think about it. The baby in the family goes to his brothers and his dad: “One day you are going to bow down to me.” Dad and his brothers: “Say what?”  Joseph’s brothers already hated him, and Genesis 37:5 tells us that when he told them his dream, they began to hate him even more. Joseph was young and immature, and he didn’t know any better. All of us would be wise to not tell folks how spiritual we are! They should be able to see it by the way we live our lives for Jesus. If they cannot see our true walk with our Lord, then they have the spiritual problem. Proverbs 27:2 tells us: “Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.”  Some things are better left unsaid.
