THE FAITH OF A CHILD (PART 4)

Can you say with Joshua, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). Dads, Almighty God has placed you as the head of the home. You are to provide for your children physically, mentally, and spiritually. In Ephesians 6:4 the Bible says: “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” I plead with each dad! Your children are gifts from the Lord. Get right with your Lord and be the Christian dad and husband your family needs you to be! The benefits of bringing your children to JESUS early in their lives are innumerable! A child who is brought to JESUS grows up learning love: that he is loved by the Lord and by all who trust in the Lord. They grow up learning power and triumph: that God will help his followers through all: that there is a supernatural power available to help. They grow up learning hope and faith: that no matter what happens, no matter how great a trial, he can still trust God and hope in Him. They grow up learning the truth of life and service. They grow up learning trust and endurance. They grow up learning peace: that there is an inner peace despite the turbulent waters of this world; that peace is knowing and trusting JESUS.
