Our sin debt was paid in full.
No one made Jesus do it. He had full control over the giving of His life. In John 10:17-18 (NKJV) Jesus said: “Therefore My Father loves me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from me, But I lay it down of Myself, I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
Jesus suffered for you and me. He didn’t have to do it. He chose to do it! The world has never been the same. All of creation and all of mankind was affected by the crucifixion. Tetelestai: “It is finished.” I want to live my life for JESUS because He willingly gave His life for me!
