That is what Christmas is all about! God loves us sinners so very much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the CROSS for our sins. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). No one else could die for our sins, but Jesus. His life was and is pure and sinless. He was the supreme sacrifice for the sins of mankind: past, present, and future. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8-9 KJV).
Think about the love of God for you this Christmas season. If you were the only person to have ever been born, JESUS would still have died for you. You do not have to live an unproductive life here and experience an eternity apart from God in the place called hell. Jesus said: ”The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 KJV).
Only a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus can give your life meaning and purpose. Only a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus can give you peace in knowing that when you leave this earth you will immediately be in His presence in heaven. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5:8 KJV).
Do you have the peace and assurance in knowing that JESUS, sweet life-giving JESUS, lives inside of your heart? Please do not let this Christmas season pass without knowing that you have asked JESUS to forgive your sins and that you have made HIM the Lord of your life. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:13: ”For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Simply pray: “Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I need your forgiveness. I know that you died on the CROSS for me. I repent and turn from all of my sins. Please forgive me. Come into my heart and save me. I now trust you as my Savior and follow you as my Lord. I give you complete control of my life. Give me the assurance and peace that I have been saved. Amen.”
JESUS loves you. I love you. Experience HIM this Christmas as never before in your life!
